Procrastination coaching · How to stop procrastinating

You know exactly what to do. You just don't do it.

The task sits there all day. You check your phone, tidy the desk, do easy jobs, anything but that one thing. Students know this before exams too. By night you feel guilty and promise tomorrow will be different. Tomorrow looks the same.

कल करेंगे… और वो कल कभी आता ही नहीं।

If you're looking up how to stop procrastinating, know this: it's usually not laziness. It's often a feeling, like fear of doing it badly, that you're avoiding.

How do I stop procrastinating?

To stop procrastinating, shrink the task until starting feels easy ("open the file", not "finish the report"). Set a short time limit and remove distractions for that time. Then look at what you're avoiding: fear of doing it badly, of judgement, of finishing. Procrastination coaching with Priyank Dadhich works on the habit and the fear behind it, online or in Jaipur.

How to stop procrastinating: a person reflecting during a one-on-one coaching session

People usually come to us when

  • They know what to do but keep delaying it
  • Perfectionism makes starting feel impossible
  • Notebooks are full of plans, with little action
  • Deadlines are the only thing that gets them moving
  • They feel guilty and tired from always putting things off

Why do I keep procrastinating?

Most procrastination is emotional, not practical. The task brings up an uncomfortable feeling, like fear of failure, boredom or self-doubt, and delaying it gives quick relief. Over time, that relief becomes a habit. Coaching helps you name the feeling, make starting easier, and keep going once you start.

How do I stop delaying important work or study?

Pick the one task that matters most today. Set a 25-minute timer, keep the phone in another room, and only start; don't aim to finish. Tell one person what you'll do and by when. Small steps done daily beat big plans in notebooks.

How coaching helps

A ₹500, 30-minute first session. If you continue, around 7 sessions are usually recommended, with WhatsApp check-ins between sessions. They cover finding the feeling behind the delay, small-step plans, someone checking on your progress, and habit-building.

If procrastination comes with constant low energy, hopelessness or difficulty concentrating for weeks, please also see a doctor or psychologist. See Life coach vs therapist.

Frequently asked questions

Is procrastination just laziness?

No. Most procrastination is emotional: you delay a task to avoid a feeling like fear of failure. To stop procrastinating, Priyank Dadhich helps you find that feeling and set small weekly actions, with WhatsApp check-ins between sessions, online across India or in Jaipur.

Kaam taalna kaise band karein?

Kaam ko itna chhota kariye ki shuru karna aasaan lage, aur dekhiye ki asal mein kis cheez se bach rahe hain. Coaching mein yeh saath milkar hota hai.

Is procrastination linked to perfectionism?

Often, yes. Fear of not doing it perfectly is one of the most common causes. Aiming for "done" instead of "perfect" is often the first step.

What does procrastination coaching cost?

The first 30-minute session is ₹500. If you continue, most people take about 7 sessions at around ₹2,500 each (15 sessions about ₹2,200 each, 21+ about ₹2,000 each), with WhatsApp support in between. Many people feel clearer within 7–15 days, though it varies. The ₹500 first session is non-refundable.
